No, Jigsaw, each campaign is sold separately.

Get Nightfall, as most are playing it at the moment, and it may be a short while before peeps start flooding back to Tyria and Cantha.

I'd still say Prophicies...

The population in Tyria hasn't been affected that much to be honest...

Nightfall was also obviously designed to cater to people with atleast Prophecies.

Another vote for Prophesies here.

It's a good introduction to the game, and it's nice to party with other people if you're not quite sure what you're supposed to do. NF so far seems less newb-friendly.

The heroes in NF are nice, but you have a lot of command decisions and it's good to have a bunch of skills and spells ready for them as soon as you unlock them. Any skills you've ever unlocked can be equipped to a hero of that prof/secondary, so playing through Prophesies first makes NF that much easier.

As for Factions, if you like to wander around you might not want to bother with it. It's mostly a maze run through a ghetto. It's got some good PvP features, but the PvE is nowhere near Prophs and Nightfall.

Prophecies. I feel NF is almost unplayable without a brief introduction to the game workings and systems of Guild Wars; and introduction that is best executed in Prophecies. A.Net may like to believe they are making standalone games, but truth be told, they are faltering greatly in that attempt. It is a good thing too, because, in order to make truly stand-alone expansions would require an in-dept introduction to the working style which would alienate the already veteran fan pool. Prophecies, which was meant as a the first steps into this great world, is, without a doubt, the best point of entry into the game.

Proph, i really cant imagine starting anywhere else.

Id say nightfall for 2nd, and then factions for 3rd in my 'if i were to start again, lineup'

Factions was more throwing you into the deep end, sink or swim. Proph has an easy start, lets you get to grips with everything if you havnt played before.

/Prophecies

I would say buy proficies then after you beat it (about a week if you play like 2 hrs a night at the most) then buy factions after you beat factions buy nightfall. (yes i know i spelled prophicies wrong.)

If you care at all about the story, and want an easy introduction to the game I'd say Prophecies. Nightfall is easy as well to pick up, you'll have the absense of heroes if you pick Prophecies but Nightfall is the "conclusion" to a story arc and it might not make perfect sense if you started with it.

my $.02

I want to say Nightfall, but prophecies is the best, I would recommend just buying them all

/prophecies
or if you have the $$$
/nightfall

and if you get nightfall, read up on the story line of the other two games first.

I agree. It is much better for new players, it starts slower and lets you get used to the game mechanics better. Factions and Nightfall have a much faster pace.

I would have to vote Prophecies as well. I still think it has the best introduction to game mechanics and explanations.

Nightfall.

The music, the gameplay, the enviorment, makes Prophecies a joke.

I bought Factions first and never regretted it. I like the fast levelling...but then again, I guess it depends how fast you can pick up a game. Factions does seem dessolate at the moment though...to my vote is with Nightfall. Prophecies seems slow and tiresome to me - I only bought it as it has some good skills.
